The third edition of Nights and Stories, an annual bonfire event organized by Tell a Story Foundation Uganda, will take place in May.
Night and Stories bonfire event was initiated to relieve the African Tradition of storytelling around fireplaces and to raise funds to support the less privileged. It is a night hinged with live music, a movie, African tea, poetry, snacking, and gaming; and it brings together people from all social spaces to connect around a fire to tell, and listen to stories that build meaningful humane conversations.
The first edition was held at Save Street Children Ugandan and the second edition, was at Dorna Center for Autism, Uganda. The third edition will be held at Speke Hotel – Rock Gardens (Uganda) on May 28, 2022, at 4 pm.
The theme for this year is, “Giving Back”, and people will share their experiences of ‘giving to others to promote a spirit of generosity. The activities are storytelling, acoustic music performance, gaming, and snacking, and tickets are available for Fifty Thousand Ugandan Shillings (50,000UGS) with early bird tickets from now until 10th May at Forty Thousand Ugandan Shillings for adults and Twenty Five Thousand Uganda Shillings for children.
The foundation will be donating proceeds to primary one children at Nkono Memorial School in Namutumba District, Eastern Uganda. These children face several predicaments, with a lack of meals and scholastic materials as the more pressing ones.
The foundation is therefore calling upon everyone to join us as they connect around a fire for a good cause.
