NYA to host Climate Action Conference for youth on August 25

The National Youth Authority (NYA) will convene a National Youth Conference on Climate Action and Environmental Sustainability on August 25, 2025, as part of this year’s National Youth Festival.

The conference is designed to mobilize young people across the country to engage meaningfully in climate advocacy, environmental protection, and sustainability solutions.

Announcing the event during the official launch of the festival, the Chief Executive Officer of the NYA, Osman Ayariga, emphasized the importance of youth involvement in environmental action. “Climate action takes center stage on August 25 with our National Youth Conference on Climate Action and Environmental Sustainability, building partnerships for meaningful environmental engagement,” he stated.

The upcoming forum will bring together youth leaders, experts, and stakeholders to discuss innovative approaches to climate change, explore green job opportunities, and foster collaborations that equip young Ghanaians to contribute to global sustainability efforts.

The climate conference is one of several major highlights of the 2025 National Youth Festival, which runs throughout August under the theme “Igniting Potential; Inspiring Change.”
