Edward Agyekum Kufuor visits Dr. Bawumia, discusses youth empowerment and job creation

Edward Agyekum Kufuor, the second son of former Ghanaian President John Agyekum Kufuor, has paid a courtesy visit to Mahamudu Bawumia following his election as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer.

During the meeting held yesterday, Edward Kufuor congratulated Dr Bawumia on his recent victory and praised what he described as the former Vice President’s efforts to promote unity within the NPP leadership and among party supporters.

According to the release, Edward Kufuor commended Dr Bawumia for demonstrating leadership through recent moves aimed at fostering cohesion and strengthening unity within the party.

The discussions between the two also centred on youth empowerment, development and job creation opportunities through the use of innovative technology.

The release stated that their engagements focused on identifying ways to create opportunities for young people while promoting development initiatives driven by technology and innovation.

The meeting comes at a time when political stakeholders continue to emphasise the importance of youth-focused policies and economic opportunities ahead of the next general election cycle in Ghana.
