Diya Impact Foundation holds first community outreach under “Know Your Numbers” Initiative

Ghanaian entrepreneur and influencer, Princess Amdiya Burland, popularly known as Ama Burland, has marked a major milestone with the successful launch of her newly established Diya Impact Foundation and its maiden community health outreach programme in Accra.

The outreach, held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Nyamekye Traffic Light Junction under the foundation’s “Know Your Numbers” campaign, brought together residents for a day of free health services and healthcare awareness activities.

The initiative offered beneficiaries free Body Mass Index (BMI) checks, hepatitis B testing, blood screenings, medical consultations, medication support and National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) registrations. Food and water were also distributed to participants during the event.

According to the foundation, the campaign seeks to promote preventive healthcare and encourage individuals to become more conscious of their health status through early detection and regular medical screening.

“What started as just an idea turned into a day filled with impact, love, healthcare, support, smiles and community,” the foundation said in a post on TikTok following the outreach.

Ama Burland recently launched the Diya Impact Foundation as a platform focused on healthcare awareness, preventive health education and community empowerment.

According to the foundation, the “Know Your Numbers” initiative goes beyond delivering free health services; it aims at sparking a broader national conversation around proactive healthcare and the importance of knowing one’s health indicators before complications arise.

As part of the outreach, individuals without active health insurance coverage were also registered onto Ghana’s NHIS to help improve access to healthcare services.

Several influencers, supporters, volunteers and members of the public attended the event and interacted with community members throughout the day.

The foundation further acknowledged partners and sponsors who supported the maiden outreach, including Pizzaman Chickenman for food support, Top Up Pharmacy for medication supplies, Fresh Drop for water provision, and Better Health Africa for partnering the initiative.

The Diya Impact Foundation described the successful outreach as the beginning of a broader mission to improve healthcare access and support underserved communities through impactful social interventions.

“This is only the beginning,” the foundation added.
