The University of Ghana (UG) has released its undergraduate admissions for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The university announced the release in a notice dated September 16, 2026, advising applicants to check their admission status through its admissions portal.
Applicants can check their status via the University of Ghana’s admissions website at apply.ug.edu.gh/admissions/admissionstatus.
Admissions assistance desk
To support applicants, the Admissions Office of the Academic Affairs Directorate will establish an Admissions Assistance Desk at the Sports and Wellness Directorate.
The desk will operate from Thursday, September 17, 2026, to Friday, October 2, 2026.
The stated working hours are:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
University of Ghana warns against admission scammers
The University of Ghana has also cautioned applicants and the general public against individuals who claim they can secure admission to the university.
According to the university, no person or intermediary can influence the admission process.
It warned that any request for payment, gifts or favours in exchange for admission is a scam and should be reported immediately.
The university urged applicants to avoid engaging with individuals making such claims and to rely on official channels for information about their admissions.
The notice was signed by Lydia Anowa Nyako-Danquah, Director of Academic Affairs.
