Faith Maria Porter, Miss Grand Ghana 2025, has opened up about the pressure and responsibility that came with representing Ghana on the international stage following her national pageant victory.
Speaking on Rythmz Live with Teacher Blessing on GHOne TV, she described the experience as both challenging and rewarding, noting that carrying the hopes of an entire country came with immense expectations.
According to the beauty queen, winning the Miss Grand Ghana crown marked her first national title, making the journey even more emotional and significant.
“There was a lot of pressure,” she admitted during the interview, explaining that the responsibility extended beyond representing herself as an individual.
Faith Maria Porter said she felt the weight of showcasing Ghanaian culture and meeting the expectations of citizens who wanted to see her excel at the international competition.
Despite the pressure, she credited the overwhelming support she received from Ghanaians for helping her stay focused throughout the pageant journey.
“The support that I got from everyone in Ghana was so overwhelming from the moment that I was crowned,” she said.
The reigning queen also revealed that winning the talent competition during the pageant boosted her confidence and helped her remain grounded throughout the process.
She explained that focusing on her strengths, staying prayerful, and leaning on people close to her played a major role in helping her navigate the demands of the competition.
Porter further praised her fellow queens, including Zahara, Rebecca, Queen Sage, and Queen Kiki, for their encouragement and sisterhood during the pageant journey.
According to her, the support from her family, sister queens, and the Ghanaian public helped her maintain confidence and composure while representing the country internationally.
