Lucozade, Ahmad Tea, Check Check City join Chef Abbys’ Big Street Feast

Lucozade, Ahmad Tea and Check Check City have joined the second edition of Chef Abbys’ Big Street Feast, strengthening the growing lineup of brands supporting the large-scale food and community initiative.

The three brands are coming on board in different capacities, with Lucozade serving as the official energy drink partner, Ahmad Tea as the premium tea partner, and Check Check City as a headline food partner.

Together, their involvement will add to the food and refreshment experience at this year’s Big Street Feast, which is designed to bring people together through food while providing meals to communities across Ghana.

The 2026 edition of the initiative is scheduled for October 16, coinciding with World Food Day, and will expand beyond Accra to Kumasi. Organisers are targeting more than 50,000 people across the two cities.

Lucozade will provide more than 20,000 bottles of its energy drink, while Ahmad Tea is expected to contribute more than 20,000 cups of tea to the event.

Check Check City, known for its signature Check Check fried rice, will add its food offering to the range of meals being provided by participating food brands and partners.

The partnerships reflect the growing involvement of businesses in initiatives that use food to create community connections and support people who may otherwise struggle to access a meal.

Created by Ghanaian culinary creator and cultural ambassador Chef Abbys, the Big Street Feast brings together food businesses, brands, individuals and communities around a shared experience of food, culture and giving.

Beyond the meals, the initiative seeks to create an environment where people can gather, connect and enjoy food without the immediate concern of where their next meal will come from.

The growing list of partners also highlights the role of young African entrepreneurs, food brands and established companies in supporting community-focused initiatives through their products, resources and platforms.

With Lucozade, Ahmad Tea and Check Check City now part of the 2026 edition, attendees can expect an expanded mix of food and refreshments as the Big Street Feast takes its community feeding mission to both Accra and Kumasi.
